Shi'a prisoners began a hunger strike in Saudi prison

On 20 November , a lot of prisoners in the general prison of al-Ahsa began of a hunger strike protesting of being subjected to beating at the hands of  guards during sleep which led to clashes between them and prison guards .

The incidents started at one o'clock after midnight, when a prison guard kicked prisoners through an unjustified attack , caused clashes continued to the early morning hours , which led the prison administration to call a unit of special forces to quell protests .

The strike ended after attending the Director of Prisons in the Eastern Province who answered the urgent requests of prisoners and promised to consider the delayed transactions and the continued detention of a number of prisoners without handed down against.
