Saudi Authorities Closed Shi'a Oratory in Al-Hassa

 September 22, 2007

The Saudi authorities continued to violate human rights in the Arabian Peninsula, especially towards the Shiite minority in the Eastern Province . On 19 September the Saudi security authorities prevented Shi'a worshipers to hold Friday prayers in an oratory at the house of the cleric Sayyed Abdullah Al-Mosawi in al-Mobrraz town of al-Hassa governorate.

It is worth mentioning that the Saudi authorities in last July prevented the mentioned citizen due to holding  Friday prayers at his house and forced him to sign a written pledge obliges him to close the oratory.
