The Saudi authorities arrested the citizen Sayyed Mohammed Abu Aqeel September 4 , 2007 According to Rasid Network, the Saudi authorities arrested on 4, 2007 the Shi'a citizen (Sayyed Mohammed Abu Aqeel) the supervisor of Husseiniyah al-Fatimiyah in the town of Rumaila in Al-Hassa . The arrest of the mentioned citizen came among a campaign launched by the Saudi authorities against Shi'a community in Qatif and Al-Hassa under a pretext of exercising some religious ceremonies that contrary to the doctrine officially sanctioned by the government. This campaign included many Shi'a citizens in the Eastern Province who participated in the peaceful religious processions and funerals held on the occasion of martyrdom of Imam Hussein ( P.B.O.H ) during the Islamic month of Muharram . It is worth mentioning that the Saudi security authorities have arrested a number of citizens, among them , the citizens ( Hussein Abdel Mohsen and the poet Sayyed Adnan Sharaf Al Taha) who was released recently. The Committee for the Defense of Human Rights in the Arabian Peninsula has assured repeatedly about these arrests involving Shi'a citizens in the area and warned of worsening security situation within the global campaign launched by the Saudi regime against Shi'a community.
