The Saudi regime continued to violate the human rights of the Shi'a citizens of  the Arabian Peninsula  .

It appears that the Saudi regime employs all its repressive governmental devices to execute of its plans, yet it ordered its  religious establishment which represented by the jurists of the authority to issue provoking " Fatwas (religious verdicts)  " calling to silence sounds demanding their rights .

On 18 / 7 / 2007 the Saudi authorities arrested the citizen (Hussein Abdul Muhsen Matawa, 23 years) from the village of Trebil , of al-Ahsa governorate , due to participating in a peaceful religious march conducted in the month of Mahrram on the occasion of martyrdom of Imam Hussein the grandson of the prophet Muhammad .

The mentioned citizen was previously arrested in February for the same  accusation and released after detention for one day.

A-Ahsa governorate has witnessed prior detentions for the same  accusation , among them the citizens ( Hassan Mohammad Hashim , Ibrahim al-Ofi , Moqdad Abdul Mohsen and Mustafa al-'Amer ) and they were released later . There are some citizens still behind bars , among them the citizen ( Abbas al-Owez ) from Bany Ma'n village .

The Committee   for  the  Defense  of  Human  Rights  in the  Arabian Peninsula calls all human rights organizations to take into account the tragic situation of the Shia' citizens who live in the Eastern Province and the human rights violations committed by the Saudi security authorities inside and outside the prisons and call these organizations to pressure the Saudi government to release citizens who are still behind bars at this sensitive time.
