The Saudi regime cements the brutal Policy against the citizens

On 11/4/2002 in Qatif, hundreds of citizens participated in public demonstration started from the centre of the city chanting the slogans of (Down with America and Down with Israel) .

At the beginning , the demonstration was peaceful in support of Palestinian people , but suddenly it surrounded by security forces who attacked the demonstrators by batons and rubbery bullets. As a result, dozens of citizens were injured and then transferred to al-Qatif Central Hospital and other private clinics. A lot of people among the demonstrators and others were arrested and subjected to beating by batons. The security forces also attacked the shops and restaurants nearby and arrested their workers. They also arrested persons who have no participation in the demonstration . According to witnesses that some demonstrators were subjected to severe beating which left them bleeding.

The Security forces yesterday interfered to disperse a demonstration of support for the Palestinians in Safwa town in Qatif and arrested dozens of citizens who subjected to beating and indignity.

The brutal practices , committed by Interior Ministry and Saudi regime  which always mouthing of application of Islamic Shari`a and protection of human rights , recovers the false claims of the Saudi regime. These events also recover the deep tragedy of Arabian Peninsula's people who live in silent kingdom and suffer of repress policy and robbed all their religious , political and economic rights with the absence of peaceful assembly right.

Till when the International Community particularly the UN Commission on Human Rights ( which has never publicly addressed the serious human rights situation in Saudi Arabia for some causes which put this Commission in doubt ) will be silent towards Saudi regime which its human rights record full of abuses and is catered for the might of its political and economical interests at the expense of the human values and   principles  ?
