Elucidation the Facts and Refutation of Allegations

 

The editor of the Saudi newspaper (al-Riyadh) has repeated the speech of (Nayef bin Abdul Aziz) the Interior Minister in his press conference on 13 / 3/ 2000. The latter has said that the punishments against the detainees is a part of application of Shari'a and there are no political detainees in the Saudi prisons and the prisoners who are held in prisons are criminals have been investigated in the framework of al - Khober bombing.

What have been mentioned by Nayef is not new and it deserves meditation because Shari'a becomes as a pretext adopted by the Regime to deceive Islamic and international opinion and to hide its crimes and human rights violations, these rights which were supported by Islam before they are confirmed by international community and human rights organizations.

The independent and fair judiciary which allows the defendant to appear before independent and impartial judge and defend himself directly or by a lawyer without pressure of investigators, and the defendant has the right to be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law, all these principles are adopted by Islam, but are not  found in Saudi justice system, that is a fact always mentioned by who were detained in Saudi Prisons.

The use of torture and indignity against prisoners is prohibited by Islam but Saudi regime used it against detainees with horrible way .

The judicial process which is adopted by Saudi justice system is unique in the world and it is not acceptable by anyone as well as the Islamic Shari`a which is adopted by Saudi regime to serve its aims. According to this process, the detainee is subjected to most cruel methods of physical and psychological torture , then he was brought before the judge. In the court  the investigator cites the confessions which are extracted under torture and coercion and without giving opportunity to the defendant to certify these confessions, finally the judge cites the sentence which was prepared previously by al-Mabahith al-`Amma .

The case of al-Khobar bombing becomes a silly pretext adopted by Saudi regime to arrest hundreds of scholars and youths who rejecting the oppressive and arbitrary policy . Some of them belong to the opposition groups who demand substitution the Islamic laws instead of the Islam of the government .Some of these detainees have been held in Saudi prisons for more than five years before al-Khobar bombing and without trial .

The prince Nayef didn't mention the grievous fact in his press conference when he claimed that the journalists in Saudi Arabia have the use of freedom, but the fact is contrast with that because the press is owned by the government and the journalists follow the government policy in this regard.

We have stated previously that some scholars were subjected to pressure to stop their religious activities, this information is considered as a respond to the saying of (Turki al - Sudeiri) the editor in chief of al - Jazera Newspaper with the (BBC) on 29 / 3 / 2000 that (All people in Saudi Arabia live in safety and there are no threats against anyone and there are no political prisoners in Saudi jails ).

 We call upon applying the Islamic Shari'a and its sublime principles which grant everyone his rights without oppression of partiality or violation . We regard Islam is the best law in the regard of respecting human rights because it is an inspiration and institution comes from Allah to Whom be ascribed all perfection and majesty.

We think that Saudi regime is unable to apply the sacred laws, it is illegal and unconstitutional regime and their rulers are not impartial.

We consider the raising of the slogan (The application Shari`a) is a way of deception and charlatanism.

We are from the base of challenge and the desire to show the facts , call upon al-Sudeiri as well as the Saudi government to grant access to the journalists and the delegates of international organizations to visit the Saudi prisons in order to meet the prisoners and the individuals who were released and the scholars who were banned to perform their duty , in this case they could see the truth of Saudi regime and compare between the reality and the false statements of the Regime.

Finally we condemn the international silence towards human rights violations of Saudi regime on account of the political and economical interests ,the fact that verifies that these bodies have no credibility in dealing with the black record of Saudi regime and they have no sincerity in defending of human rights.
