The Arabian Peninsula: Appeals the World to Save the Human Rights

During the last few days the Eastern Province has witnessed a campaign of arrests targeted a lot of citizens within the framework of the Regime’s attack against the Islamic actives , one of these citizens was Ramzi Ahmad Awal , a 23-year- old , an employee from Rabi`yah village in Tarout Island.

It is note worth that the members of al-Mabahith al-`Amma have raided the house of Awal with an inhuman and barbaric way and it was searched thoroughly without consideration to the Islamic laws.

The citizen Ramzi Awal was the third individual in the same family who was arrested as well as his uncles, Taisir Abbas Awal who was arrested on 30 March 1997 and Ibrahim Abbas Awal who was arrested in June 1998.

In Hufuf City of Ihsaa and within the framework of the serious aggravation of the Regime to challenge the Islamic activity and religious freedom of Islamic doctrines, the members of al-Mabahith al-`Amma have raided Sadiq Bookshop for selling religious, cultural and scientific books, and the owner of the bookshop (Sadiq al-Mueili) was arrested under the pretext of selling religious books contain the faiths of Shi`a Sect in the intellectual , doctrinal and ideological fields. All the books were confiscated despite that the bookshop has an official license from the Ministry of Information , then it was closed down.

It is note worth that the Saudi regime does not recognize of the legality of Shi`a Sect and it does not allow Shi`a to import, print, publish, sell or buy the intellectual, cultural and juristic books and magazines. It also exercises severe pressure and persecution on Shi`a Muslims. It practices the policy of discrimination and plundering freedom and rights of them.

On one hand , an learned individual on the case of Mohammad al-Zein al-Wa`il , 25 -year- old from al-Madina al-Munawwara, has expressed his deep concern that al-Wa`il may be executed as happened to the former citizens whose cases are similar to his case if we take into consideration the moody of Saudi Judicial System and harmony with the sectarian policy of the Regime which is based on prosecution and tyranny towards anyone who doesn’t follow it religious establishment.

It is worth mentioning that the citizen Mohammad al-Wa`il was arrested in September 1995 when he was near the holy shrine to pay his respect and visit to the prophet Mohammad (P.B.U.H) and then accused of cursing the prophet and his followers.
