Save the Human Rights in Arabian Penisula The Eastern Province as
other provinces of Arabian peninsula witnesses every day a wave of arrests for
scores of citizens by al-Mabahith al-'Amma (General Investigations) within the
framework of the Regime's policy , to rule people tyrannically , to suppress
freedoms which are determined by Islamic and international laws and to seize
the rights of citizenship and humanity. While
hundreds of scholars and citizens are still held in the prisons and jails of
Saudi authorities for many years and months subjecting to severe torture, the
ordeal of citizens outside the prison is still continuing through out the
cities and villages of the country. The members of al-Mabahith al- `Amma are
responsible of this ordeal because they are spread through streets and roads
with their arms to frighten people and call them for investigation and they
attack their homes to search them without reasons. In the
end of last week , al-Mbahith al-`Amma arrested a lot of citizens, among them
are: 1 .
Mohammad Hassan al- Hajhouk, aged 31, from al- Qatif. 2 .
Reza al- Zamin , aged 32, from al-Qatif. 3 .
Shokri Mohammad al-Hiriz, aged 35 free services. It is
worth mentioning that the citizen (al- Hiriz) was exposed to arrest in 1987 and
1990 due to his religious activity. Al-
Mabahith al- Amma also arrested more than eight citizens from al- Qatif due to
their participation in the Shi'a public processions to commemorate the death of
Imam Hussein (P.B.U.H) which Shi'a used to hold every year during the Islamic
months of Muharram and Safar. The
reliable sources from Sihat town in Eastern Province stated that the wife of
the martyr (Sheikh Ja'far al-Shwikhat), who died last year in a prison in
Syria, was exposed to pressure and harassment by the Saudi authorities and
subjected to arrest and investigation. Before several days she was called by
al-Mabahith al-`Amma and was arrested for two days solely she was
al-Shweikhat's wife. This action is considered a dangerous sign and a bad
relapse for human rights situation in the country. The
Saudi regime violates all the Islamic norms and values and the international
laws. It doesn't care for people's feelings , freedom, dignity , rights and
their values and doesn't care of respecting women and it violates their rights. The
Saudi authorities have informed recently the wife of the citizen Hani al-Sayegh
, who is still held in a prison in USA , and warned her that she would expose
to arrest and indignity if she ask permission to travel to her husband and her
superior also warned that he should not ask for her right to travel. While
we condemn these sever exercises , attacks and violations that are contrary to
Islamic Shari'a , we ask all Muslims and freemen to take over their Islamic and
human duty and to unite with the ordeal of our people due to the oppression of
Al-Saud. We
also call upon the international human rights organizations to break the
silence towards the Saudi regime and exert pressure on it to put an end to the
human rights violations against people. |
